Boukamvilias in Greece

Bougainvillea also known as “napoleรณn” in Honduras, Veranera in Colombia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Panama, “trinitaria” in Colombia, Cuba, Panama, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic & Venezuela, “santa rita” in Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay or “papelillo” in northern Peru is called “boukamvilia” in Greece. They are popular in central and south parts of Greece where the climate is warm.

  1. Bougainvillea, in a range of colors, were abundant when I was growing up on Guam. So pretty!
